Pot Roast

2-3 lb beef or pork roast

1 oz packet of Ranch seasoning mix

0.7 oz packet of Italian seasoning mix


Place roast in the crock pot and add enough water to cover about an inch of the bottom. Sprinkle seasonings on top. Cook on low for 6-7 hours.

Meat Loaf

2 eggs                                                          

8 oz tomato sauce                                     

1 medium onion finely chopped             

1 c. dry bread crumbs                               

1 1/2 tsp salt                                              

1/2 tsp pepper

1 1/2 lbs ground beef

3 Tbsp brown sugar

3 Tbsp brown mustard

3 Tbsp apple cider vinegar


In a large bowl, lightly beat the eggs. Then add the tomato sauce, onion, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Add burger and mix well. Press into ungreased 9x5x3 in loaf pan. Combine brown sugar, mustard and apple cider vinegar then pour over top of meatloaf. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 70 minutes.

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

1 1/2 lbs steak                                 

2 Tbsp olive oil                                

1 medium onion chopped            

1/4 c. soy sauce                               

1/2 tsp salt                                       

1/2 tsp ginger                                  

2 tsp garlic

1/2 tsp pepper

1 Tbsp sugar

16 oz stewed tomatoes

2 large green peppers cut into strips

1/4 c. water

2 Tbsp corn starch

Egg noodles or rice, cooked


Cut steak into 3"x1" strips; brown in olive oil in skillet. Transfer into slow cooker. Combine chopped onion, soy sauce, salt, ginger, garlic, pepper, sugar and stewed tomatoes. Pour over steak. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours. Add green peppers and cook for another hour. Combine water and corn starch to make a paste. Stir into liquid in slow cooker and cook on high until thickened. Serve over noodles or rice.

Salisbury Steak Deluxe

1 can cream of mushroom soup                  

1 Tbsp mustard                                              

2 tsp Worcestershire sauce                           

1 tsp horseradish sauce (optional)              

1 egg                                                                 

1/4 c. dry bread crumbs                                

1/4 c. finely chopped onion

1 tsp dried parsley

1/2 tsp salt

Dash of pepper

1 1/2 lbs ground beef

1/2 c. water


In a bowl combine soup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and horseradish. Set aside. In another bowl lightly beat the egg. Add bread crumbs, onion, parsley, salt, pepper and 1/4 cup of the soup mixture. Add beef and mix well. Shape into 6 patties. In a large skillet brown the patties. Combine the remaining soup mixture with water and pour over patties. Cover and cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes. Remove patties to a serving platter and spoon sauce over meat.

Chili

1 lb ground beef or pork                   

27 oz can of chili beans                     

15 oz can Hormel chili                       

1 c. water                                             

1 Tbsp chili powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper


Brown meat in large skillet. Add beans, Hormel chili and water. Mix well. Add spices (can add more or less depending on your taste) and mix again. Simmer on low for 45 minutes stirring occasionally, then ready to serve.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops and Gravy

4 pork chops

1 oz packet of Ranch seasoning mix

2 cans cream of chicken soup

1/2 c. water


Spray bottom of crockpot with non-stick cooking spray. Place chops in crockpot. Sprinkle Ranch seasoning on top then add the soups and water. Cook on high for 6 hours then serve.
